| Biodiversity plays an important role in urban environment. As a common micro-renewal way of urban vacant lots, temporary community gardens can bring higher levels of biodiversity and ecosystem services, which is one of the good ways to optimize green space in cities. While improving the habitat quality of vacant lots, community gardens are also affected by factors such as vegetation structure, and management and maintenance level. Based on the case analysis of typical temporary community gardens, this paper discusses the applicability of this flexible urban vacant lot micro-renewal method in China. |
